Some Notes about Recording and Exporting the EEG Data Files You Would like SNI to Process

  1.  Export and send that EEG data as two separate files (one eyes open and one eyes closed not including any task data that you would like us to process) if possible.
  2. Please make your best effort to save the eyes closed as one complete file (as opposed to multiple short files) and the eyes open file as one large file (as opposed to multiple shorter files). This allows for the best chance of obtaining an artifact minimal sample for QEEG analysis.
  3. Clinical EEG recording standards require a minimum of 20 minutes of total recording time (to include eyes open, eyes closed, and tasks). We encourage neurofeedback professionals to follow this standard and suggest recording for at least 10 minutes in the eyes open condition and 10 minutes in the eyes closed condition as a good practice and especially if your client is having difficulty reducing artifact such as EMG, EOG, or drowsiness.
  4. Please be sure to indicate on the Intake Form the type of amplifier you used to record the EEG, clearly label the EEG data files, and indicate if you used any special filter settings.
  5. As always, if you have questions, please contact us at sniqeeg@gmail.com or at 480-625-4123.
